Zvi Arom, Chairman of the Board of Directors

Zvi is actively involved with TaKaDu's executive management. Before joining TaKaDu's board, Zvi held the position of active advisor to the CEO at YaData, working with Amir Peleg until YaData's acquisition. Zvi is a veteran of the Enterprise Software industry. Zvi is one of the founders and managing partners at Afterdox, a smart angels investment group comprised mostly of ex-Amdocs top executives.  Prior to YaData and for more than 20 years, Zvi held various senior roles at Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX). 

At Amdocs, Zvi held the position of COO of Clarify, the CRM division of Amdocs, which is one of the world's largest CRM vendors. Zvi was involved in defining the strategy, setting the goals and was directly in charge of its execution. Zvi was also in charge of all aspects pertaining to the establishing of Amdocs's outsourcing services in Melbourne Australia - from building the facilities through development and implementation of the software and up to day to day support in production. Zvi's other significant roles included responsibility for the development and implementation of large scale projects for some tier-one and tier-two customers in North America and managing all QA and Training activities for Amdocs world-wide. Before joining Amdocs Zvi held various positions in the Insurance Software industry in Israel.

 
 

Amir Peleg, Founder and CEO

Amir Peleg founded TaKaDu in late 2008 with the vision of using advanced mathematics and software to increase efficiency of water networks.
Since late 2012, he is the Chairman of SWAN - The Smart Water Networks Forum.
 
Amir is a serial high-tech entrepreneur: in 2005, he founded YaData (acquired by Microsoft in 2008); previously he co-founded Unipier (formerly Cash-U) in 2000 and EVS (NASDAQ: EVSNF) in 1991.
 
Amir co-founded YaData, a Behavioral Targeting company, and led its rapid growth until its acquisition by Microsoft in early 2008. During that time, YaData raised one round of financing from two leading VCs, recruited a team of top notch scientists (Math & Computer Science) and introduced its first product, generating early revenues. YaData’s solution was recognized as a breakthrough in its field.
 
During his tenure with Unipier, Amir led the company vision, strategy and fund raising from major VCs. He was responsible for the organization's development and sales growth to annual revenues of $5M from tier-one mobile carriers. In 1991, Amir was one of the founders of EVS Ltd. (Elbit Vision Systems, NASDAQ: EVSNF), and played a key role in its management, sales and marketing activities in Europe and Asia. In 1996, Amir established and managed EVS-US Inc, the US subsidiary of EVS.
 
Amir holds a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (via the IDF TALPIOT program) and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. As a teenager, Amir won a special prize for young inventors from the Weizmann Institute, Israel.


 

 

Gina Domanig, Managing Partner, Emerald Technology Ventures

Based in Emerald's Zurich Office, Gina Domanig is the Managing Partner of Emerald Technology Ventures. In 2000, she founded Emerald (formerly SAM Private Equity) as the first independent cleantech venture capital fund in Europe. Emerald is one of the largest dedicated cleantech funds and the first with a transatlantic strategy.

Gina serves on the boards of Identec Solutions, Inge and Pelamis. Gina has over 20 years of international business experience including banking, M&A, strategic development and venture capital. Prior to starting Emerald, she was senior vice president at Sulzer, a Swiss multinational, responsible for strategic planning and M&A. During her ten year tenure, she built up a team which completed 45 transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs and JVs in industrial technology sectors. Gina holds MBA degrees from Thunderbird in Arizona and ESADE in Barcelona and is fluent in English, German and Spanish.

  

 

 

Zvi Schechter, Managing Director and General Partner, Giza Venture Capital

Zvi is the co-founder and Managing Director of Giza Venture Capital. Prior to co-founding Giza in 1992, Zvi Schechter was Vice President of Leumi & Company Investment Bankers.

Zvi has over 20 years of experience in private equity investment, company valuations and analysis and frequently lectures at management seminars. He holds a BSc in Economics and Management magna cum laude from the Technion, Israel's premier institute of technology and an MBA in Finance, magna cum laude, from Tel Aviv University. In addition to TaKaDu, Zvi sits on the boards of Viewfinity and Abiomed, and is a board observer in Cardonet.

 

 

Adi Pundak-Mintz, Venture Partner, Gemini Israel Funds

As a General Partner at Gemini, Adi draws on his start-up, VC and scientific background to make seed investments. Since joining Gemini in 1999, he has specialized in seed investments in the areas of enterprise IT software and systems, and financial software.

Adi was the first institutional investor in Itemfield, sold to Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA), Diligent sold to IBM, and Traiana sold to ICAP. Some of the world’s leading VCs joined Adi in investments including Sequoia, Accel, Foundation, Matrix, Battery and Lightspeed. Adi was also CEO of Sphera, sold to Parallels. Previously, Adi held business development and marketing positions with Nexus Telecommunications (NASDAQ:NSUSF), and ECI Telecom (NASDAQ:ECIL), a Global provider of networking infrastructure solutions. Earlier in his career, Adi served in the Israeli Navy as a project engineer for Naval Underwater Systems. In addition to TaKaDu, Adi sits on the boards of a number of Gemini portfolio companies including CloudShare, dbMotion, Neocleus, Metrolight, and OpTier.
