Dr. Chaim Linhart

Chaim Linhart joined TaKaDu in October 2009 as a Senior Researcher.  Prior to TaKaDu, Chaim worked as a senior software engineer at nLayers (acquired by EMC), the industry's first complete configuration management database (CMDB) infrastructure solution. Previously, Chaim worked as Research Manager at Sanctum (acquired by IBM), the leader in automated web application security firewall. Prior to Sanctum, Chaim worked at VocalTec Communications, a VoIP pioneer.


Chaim served 5 years in the Israeli Defense Forces, at an elite technological unit in Military Intelligence (the Haman Talpiot program). He developed and implemented advanced algorithms, and led several research projects, for which he received excellence awards.

In 2009, Chaim completed his Computer-Science Ph.D. studies in computational biology at Tel Aviv University. He also holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science (2002, Summa Cum Laude), and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science (1998, Magna Cum Laude), both from Tel Aviv University. Chaim received several excellence awards for his studies, including M.Sc. and Ph.D. scholarships from the prestigious Wolf Foundation. Chaim has published more than 20 scientific papers and one patent in various fields - computational biology, pattern matching, data mining, computational geometry and Internet security.
